资源简介:
Summary:This is the dataset presented in the publication: Helm et al. (2024). Emulating long-term weather-driven transportation earthworks deterioration models to support asset management. Transportation Geotechnics 44: 101155. DOI: 10.1016/j.trgeo.2023.101155.Contents:This record contains the dataset used to produce the figures in the related publication and consists of:Experimental design data (Latin hypercube sample design)Oedometer swelling test data for London ClaySimple shear test data for London ClayNumerical model validation results for local and non-local strain softening behaviourModelled pore pressure results at slope scaleConsolidated undrained triaxial test data for a glacial till embankment fillNumerical model validation results for displacements at slope scaleHighways and rail slope geometry data for the M4 motorway and Great Western Main Line railwayLaboratory data on the peak shear strength of a number of overconsolidated high plasticity claysField data on the permeability of London ClayLaboratory data on the residual shear strength of a number of overconsolidated high plasticity claysGeotechnical model and emulator output data relating geometry and material properties to time to failureFurther Information:The geotechnical and statistical modelling work, along with the production of the publication were supported by the ACHILLES (EPSRC programme grant EP/R034575/1) project group.Field instrumentation data from the highways slope used in the validation of the cut slope numerical model was provided by Dr. J. Smethurst and Dr. A. Blake of Southampton University and was funded by UK EPSRC grant numbers GR/R72341/01 and EP/F063482/1. The data from the BIONICS embankment used in the embankment modelling validation was provided by Dr. P. Hughes (Durham University) and Dr. R. Stirling (Newcastle University) and was produced as part of the UK EPSRC BIONICS (GR/S87430/01) and iSMART (EP/K027050/1) grants. A co-author of the linked publication, Dr. A. Smith, acknowledges the support of a Philip Leverhulme Prize in Engineering (grant number PLP-2019-017).Additional References and Sources of Data
Along with a link to the published version of the paper in which this data is used, the related published work on the geotechnical and statistical model development and validation are available in the references section below. A link has also been added to the emulator code.Further information on the iSMART and ACHILLES projects can be found in the funding and related materials sections.
