U.S. cumulative renewable energy capacity excluding hydropower 2008-2022

The cumulative capacity of renewable energy in the United States, excluding hydro, has continuously rose in the period under consideration, peaking at an estimated 305 gigawatts in 2022. Between 2008 and 2022, the figures increased by 264 gigawatts. In 2014, the power-generating capacity of non-hydropower renewables in the U.S. was larger than hydropower capacity for the first time.
