MPLab GENKI

The MPLab GENKI Database is an expanding image database containing facial images spanning various lighting conditions, geographic locations, individual identities, and ethnicities. Each subsequent release includes all images from prior versions, thus ensuring backward compatibility. The database is divided into overlapping subsets, each with its own labels and descriptions. For instance, the GENKI-4K subset consists of 4,000 facial images labeled as "smiling" or "non-smiling" by human annotators. As determined by our automated face detector, the facial poses are approximately frontal. The GENKI-SZSL subset contains 3,500 images featuring faces, which are annotated with facial locations and sizes. These images are publicly available.
