RAP Chem Model Fields - Experimental (RAP-Chem)

Rapid Refresh (RAP) is a weather prediction system comprised primarily of a numerical forecast model and analysis/assimilation system to initialize that model, which runs every hour. It covers North America and was developed for users needing frequently updated short-range weather forecasts. The RAP Chem Model Fields (RAP-Chem) is an experimental component of Rapid Refresh Chem Plots and includes a number of forecast data, such as wind, temperature, precipitation, fire, air quality, and surface chemicals which are displayed across a static map of North America. RAP is complemented by the higher-resolution 3 km High-Resolution Rapid Refresh model, which is also updated hourly but covers a smaller geographic domain.
