CESM2-SLH Public Repository: Code and Data

This dataset contains information related to the preprint entitled "Short-Lived Halogen Sources and Chemistry in the Community Earth System Model v2 (CESM2-SLH)" published in GMD (Geoscientific Model Development). In the paper we summarize 15 years of research and developments of SLH in CESM and present a complete description of the implementation and capabilities achieved with the new CESM2-SLH release, including the modified building scripts and updated routines, the specific namelist options for each compset, as well as the input files and technical notes detailing the most important SLH updates that must be considered for the different model configurations and resolutions. The benchmark CESM code is available from https://www.cesm.ucar.edu/models/cesm2. The complete software code of the final CESM2-SLH tag (cesm2.2-asdbranch_slh_tag) can be downloaded from the following Github link (https://github.com/RafaPedroFernandez/CESM/tree/cesm2.2-asdbranch_slh_tag). The current development branch (cesm2.2-asdbranch_slh) was forked from the CESM repository maintained by the NSF National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) at (https://github.com/ESCOMP/CESM/tree/cesm2.2-asdbranch). All code and data required to run the CESM2-SLH version is available within the individual subfolders included in Mendeley Datasets as described below.
