The genomes of a new group of Bacteroidetes symbionts were assembled from metagenome samples of stored product mites Acarus siro and Tyrophagus putrescentiae. The symbiont showed low similarity to free-living Solitalea. The symbiont is facultative because it is not present in all individuals of infected mite cultures. The symbiont is feces transmitted.
