Can understanding the relationship between sunscreen lotions\2019 microstructure and the SPF help prevent malignant melanoma?
收藏资源简介:
Sunscreen emulsions such lotions or creams are arguably the most popular products used to protect the skin against harmful UV radiation. Several studies have been conducted to untangle their internal microstructure. However, our understanding of the direct effect of UV filters and other materials such as preservatives on the internal architecture and the feel of these lotions is unfortunately lacking. In this experiment, we would like to use contrast variation SANS to take a better look at this internal architecture in the presence of a range UVA/UVB filters and preservatives. A major outcome of this ongoing work is to act as an informative tool for formulators, where sun protection products would be formulated based on a scientific approach rather than semi-empirical approaches.
