资源简介:
During 2001 a native forest in the South of Argentina experienced the
massive flowering and death of the bamboo Chusquea culeou, a dominant
understory species. We proposed to assess the impact of this event on:
a) the environmental factors and b) the population dynamics of forest
vegetation. We recorded air and soil temperature, relative air
humidity and light intensity under two conditions: death and green
bamboo. We also registered the survirvoship, growth and herbivory
rates on Nothofagus nervosa, a canopy dominant tree and Chusquea
culeou seedlings. In field we collected soil cores samples using pvc
tubes of 5 cm diameter at 5 cm of deph from several sites with green
and death vegetation. In laboratory we placed a subsample of soil in a
drying oven at 105bC for 48 hs for determination of gravimetric soil
water content.
