National Digital Forecast Database (NDFD)

The National Digital Forecast Database (NDFD) is a suite of gridded digital forecasts of basic weather elements (e.g., cloud cover, maximum temperature) that is generated by the National Weather Service (NWS) in collaboration with regional NWS Weather Forecast Offices (WFOs) and the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP). Data obtained from WFOs and NCEP are combined to create the NDFD digital forecasts. The gridded data are presented as map displays for weekly forecast periods with links at each location to graphical representations of the data along with a forecast discussion. Access to download data as General Regularly-distributed Information in Binary (GRIB) formatted files is also available using ftp and https transfer protocols or the AWS S3 Explorer (https://noaa-ndfd-pds.s3.amazonaws.com/index.html).
