Gut microbial community of Erebia tyndarus and Erebia cassioides

This is a 16S metabarcoding dataset for DNA extracted from the abdomen of Erebia tyndarus and E. cassioides as well as from 9 flowers of nectar plants to study interspecific differences in gut microbial community. The two butterfly species use a similar abiotic environment and form a narrow zone of secondary contact with only limited gene flow.
