Dataset DescriptionThis dataset comprises four integrated components that collectively support a long-term ecological assessment of Shitang Lake, a suburban shallow lake in eastern China:1. Chronological Data:Depth–age data based on 210Pb and 137Cs radiometric dating.2. Watershed Socioeconomic and Land-Use Data:Annual records of socioeconomic indicators and land-use changes from 1950 to 2020, along with mean annual temperature data from 1901 to 2021.3. Physicochemical Proxy Data:Sediment geochemical indicators reflecting environmental conditions and watershed inputs.4. Biological Proxy Data:Paleoecological records derived from plant macrofossils and diatom assemblages.
