High-solid biogas production from food waste: a comparative study of industrial-scale operation and microbial community structures

In this study, we examined performance and microbial community structures in four industrial-scale HST plug-flow digesters to elucidate effects by operating conditions and to visualize challenges and management approaches that can benefit conversion of food waste to biogas using this technique.
