Pilot project cross-transect at sources — semiterrestrial and terrestrial fauna

From May to September 2019, at the Goferquelle, 41,306 individuals from a wide variety of animal groups were recorded using six combination traps (soil and emergence traps). This number shows the enormous importance of sources for local biodiversity. The indicator groups cicadas, bedbugs, barrel beetles and small mammals were evaluated. 43 species were identified at species level. Among them are stenotope source biotope character species, red list species, endmites or new finds for the national park.
