Digital RNA sequencing using unique molecular identifiers

We adapted the SiMSen-seq ultrasensitive digital sequencing methodology to RNA molecules analysis using an intermediate reverse transcription step. We studied the impact of choice of reverse transcriptase by testing the performance of 7 different commercially available reverse transcription kits and we showed the feasibility of rare mutation detection at RNA level.
