Wastewater-based epidemiology has received renewed attention following its application during the COVID-19 pandemic to gain a more representative and real-time understanding of the spread of SARS-CoV-2 on a community scale. Technical developments in molecular approaches such as hybrid-probe based next-generation sequencing allow for the simultaneous enrichment of multiple targets of interest to public health in wastewater samples. As a component of ongoing SARS-CoV-2 wastewater-based surveillance efforts, 1,408 composite (24 hr) wastewater samples were collected over 2022 from 12 neighborhood-level access points in the Greater Tempe area, Arizona
