The pulp can regenerate to form repair dentin in the event of tooth damage. Strong stimuli such as odontoblast preparation and advanced odontoblasts can cause odontoblast death and stimulate odontoblast differentiation of the stem/progenitor cell population of dental pulp cells (DPCs) that replace necrotizing odontoblasts with beta-catenin, bFGF, BMP4, CD105.
