The user base of the German fintech sector witnessed a gradual growth between 2017 and 2023, with the digital payments segment accumulating the highest number of users. In 2023, there were an estimated 84.27 million fintech users in Germany, of which almost 58 million were digital payments users. According to Statista Market Insights, the number of users is forecast to increase further in the following years, reaching 109 million in 2028.
