Cognitive Load, Fatigue & Decision Offloading 2025

<b>This dataset is part of the Human Clarity Institute’s AI–Human Experience Data Series.</b><br>It measures how adults experience cognitive load, mental fatigue, decision offloading, and AI-related mental burden in daily life and work.The dataset includes:<br>• validated 1–7 Likert-scale cognitive load items<br>• mental fatigue and micro-fatigue indicators<br>• decision offloading patterns<br>• AI usage and cognitive burden items<br>• open-text reflections on mental load<br>• demographic variables across six countriesData were collected via Prolific in 2025 from adults in the UK, US, Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand.<br>All data were fully cleaned, anonymised, and verified according to the Human Clarity Institute’s open-data protocol.This dataset contributes to understanding how AI-driven environments influence cognitive strain, everyday decisions, and mental energy, supporting longitudinal tracking of digital-age cognitive health.
