资源简介:
This dataset brings together socio-demographic, environmental and institutional variables at the municipal level to assist researchers in analyzing climate (im)mobilities in Brazil. It does not directly measure mobility flows but offers a set of indicators for the analysis of potential drivers of mobility and immobility in the context of climate-related risks and events. The dataset contains 27 composite climate risk indicators, measuring exposure, vulnerability, sensitivity, adaptive capacity and hazards related to water and food security. It also offers 56 variables on disaster events from 1991 to 2024, including event identification, human damages (displaced and affected populations), material and environmental damages, and public and private economic losses. The dataset includes 75 variables on risk management, institutional capacity, and environmental legislation, including risk management actions, civil defense activities, and the capacity of municipalities to respond to climate-related hazards. These are supplemented by 181 socio-demographic variables, including housing characteristics, population structure, literacy, race/ethnicity, characteristics of household heads, and income. All data are harmonized at the municipal level, covering 5,570 municipalities. This dataset provides a foundation for the development of future conceptual frameworks and empirical studies on how structural conditions, environmental pressures, and institutional capacities might influence patterns of climate (im)mobility.
