Layer Sorghum - Rearing phase performance

The data set shows the growth performance and uniformity of brown egg-type pullets fed different diets (treatments) from 1 to 17 weeks of age. The treatments consist of CON = corn-soybean meal (SBM) based diet (served as a standard); HS = Corn-high-protein sorghum-SBM based diet; N2 = Corn-US #2 sorghum-SBM based diet. 1. Data Sharing – Pullet Sorghum – Rearing Phase Performance: This spreadsheet includes the bird performance data for the three diets evaluated. The data was organized by pen number, block, dietary treatment, and replication. Performance data included body weight per bird, average daily gain per bird, and feed intake per bird for ages 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13,15, and 17 weeks of age. Also, flock uniformity is presented for ages 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14 weeks of age. a. Description of variables; units i. Pen – pen identifier or label; no units ii.
