Medical Student Engagement in Research: Dataset from a Cross-Sectional Study in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

This dataset contains anonymized survey responses collected from medical students in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, between January 2024 and May 2024, as part of a cross-sectional study assessing perceptions, practices, and barriers toward research. Data were collected via an online questionnaire (Google Forms) comprising 61 items across four sections: demographics, attitudes toward research, research practices, and perceived obstacles.The dataset is provided in Excel (.xlsx) format in a single sheet named “Form Responses 1”. Each row represents a participant, and each column corresponds to a specific survey question. All personal identifiers have been removed to maintain participant confidentiality.These data can be used to explore factors influencing research engagement among medical students, analyze demographic variations, and compare findings with similar studies in other regions.
