The capacity for airport precinct cooling using recycled stormwater irrigation

On the basis of systematic comparison of traditional outdoor thermal environment simulation models, a model expanded to include bio-swales (a kind of common surface in the buffer area of airports) is selected in this paper for function module simulation, and a calibration mode for characteristic parameters of the surface thermal environment is established. The model is verified by field trials at Adelaide International Airport, and then applied to the study to define irrigation strategies and comprehensive benefits in the buffer area.
