Lipid Signature Changes of Women with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus in Response to Puerperal Exclusive Breastfeeding

Previously, studies mainly focused on the relationship between long-term lactation and health-promoting effects on women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). The favorable effects of short-term breastfeeding were often overlooked. We here investigated whether lactation during puerperium could help to reverse the diabetogenic effect of gestation and further explored the lipid profiling changes upon breastfeeding.
