Major Patagonia Rivers Water Quality v1.0 (MPRWQ)
收藏资源简介:
Major Patagonia Rivers Water Quality v1.0 (MPRWQ from here on) is a new water quality dataset based on a citizen monitoring program. The fjords and inner seas of Northwest Patagonia (NWP) in southern Chile are some of the most productive marine ecosystems on Earth. These marine waters depend on freshwater from nearby rivers, which also carry nutrients from land to sea. Yet, until now, no long-term studies had tracked how these rivers affect the marine system across a large area. This study is the first to conduct weekly water quality monitoring across the five largest rivers in NWP—Puelo, Yelcho, Palena, Cisnes, and Aysén—over an entire year, covering a broad section of Patagonia. MPRWQ is a compilation of water quality data from five river basins: the Puelo, Yelcho, Palena, Cisnes, and Aysen. Each river is presented in a separate worksheet named accordingly. Additionally, the file includes a metadata sheet (META) providing general information about the sampling locations.
