The Seafloor Compliance (SFC) was deployed on 2009-09-19 at Bullseye. Bullseye is a location at Clayoquot Slope, where gas hydrates, seafloor cold seeps, and hydrate dynamics are observed. This device is a Gravimeter. Gravimeters (or gravity meters) measure the gravity field of the Earth with such a resolution that they can detect very small changes in the underlying or surrounding structures. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
