State-of-the-art equipment for surface treatment with organic solvents

The report describes the state of the art of equipment for the treatment of surfaces with organic solvents. In particular, packaging printing, winding wire coating, strip sheet coating, painting of vehicles, surface cleaning by means of ethanol and application areas of solvents for the refinement of web-shaped materials are shown. The state-of-the-art emission values for organic carbon compounds, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and dust are derived for the processes, describing the associated production technologies and the emission reduction technology used. Diffuse VOC emissions are calculated on the basis of solvent balances and industry-specific achievable values are determined. Emission values for wastewater are also derived from processes with wastewater generation.
