This study sequences the transcriptome of 16 tissues in Dioryctria abietella, including chemosensory and non-chemosensory tissues. We aim to identify the gene families involved in chemoreception, and screen tissue- or sex-specific chemosensory genes in chemosensory organs such antennae, proboscises and legs.
