Processed Analytical Data for: Non-take-up after expansion: Universalisation and territorial inequalities in Mexico's old-age pension

This deposit contains ten processed analytical datasets and a README file used for the analysis of non-take-up and territorial inequalities in Mexico’s old-age pension programme, Pensión para el Bienestar de las Personas Adultas Mayores (PAM). The analytical datasets were constructed from official public data sources, including the National Household Income and Expenditure Survey (ENIGH), poverty measurement datasets from the National Council for the Evaluation of Social Development Policy (CONEVAL), and 2024 multidimensional poverty information produced by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI). The files are organised separately according to the econometric specification for which they were prepared. Five datasets correspond to the Heckman selection models and five datasets correspond to the standalone Probit models. The README file documents the data structure, original sources and methodological purpose of each group of files. The Heckman datasets are used to estimate selection into observed pension income among beneficiaries, while the Probit datasets are used to estimate direct marginal effects on programme participation among eligible older adults. This deposit includes only the processed analytical datasets and the README file required to document the structure, sources and methodological use of the files.
