Replication package: Published gut-microbiome species claims modestly exceed prevalence- and abundance-matched null taxa

Analysis code, aggregate outputs and figures for the article "Published gut-microbiome species claims modestly exceed prevalence- and abundance-matched null taxa: an abstract-level selection audit across six diseases", submitted to Research Synthesis Methods. The package contains Python scripts (code/, MIT licence), aggregate result files (outputs/, no individual-level data) and the three article figures (figures/). Input data are not included: the curatedMetagenomicData stool case-control tables (public) and PubMed / PubMed Central records. README.md gives the data description, run order and environment variables. Code: MIT licence. Everything else: CC BY 4.0.
