Lake Bathymetry in New Jersey

This dataset was produced both for the public (general information about lakes) and staff at DEP. These data can be used to calculate waterbody volume and coupled with other data to find the residence time of lake waters. These data aid in the development of water quality standards and Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs). It can also aid in the management of aquatic vegetation, Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs), fisheries and water safety plans.
