资源简介:

This 3D model depicts a disfigured player from the table football game, Subbuteo. Subbuteo was invented in 1947 by Peter Adolph, who lived at Langton Green near Tunbridge Wells. Due to the size and glossy nature of the figure, the item distorted during the modelling process. However, it serves as a reminder of the challenges and potentials for data corruption within digitised surrogate objects. This digital asset was created as part of the 'A Mirror For Remembering' artwork commission by Alex May: http://amirrorforremembering.com/ A Mirror for Remembering is a major new virtual reality artwork by Alex May exploring the complexities and growing necessity to address the preservation and permanence of the digital artefacts that form an increasing part of our everyday lives. This commission has been made possible through the generous support of the Arts Council England funded Kent Medway Museums National Portfolio Organisation and tilises the extensive collections held by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.
