Docks biocontrol

Rumex spp. Docks Several invasive species of *Rumex* including *Rumex crispus*, *Rumex pulcher* , *Rumex conglomeratus* and *Rumex obtusifolius* adversely impact Australian pastures and native flora. One biocontrol agent has been released to control docks weeds: 1. Dock clear-wing moth *Pyropteron doryliformis* This biocontrol agent is expected to reduce the spread of docks by reducing plant vigour and reproduction. Extensive field release has resulted in widespread establishment of the dock clear-wing moth in WA, SA, Vic and NSW. Reports of establishment in Tamar Valley and Tas have been noted, but are yet to be confirmed. Regular updates on field days, workshops, and research results are published on the Blog.
