Docks biocontrol

Rumex spp. Docks Several invasive species of *Rumex* including *Rumex crispus*, *Rumex pulcher* , *Rumex conglomeratus* and *Rumex obtusifolius* adversely impact Australian pastures and native flora. One biocontrol agent has been released to control docks weeds: 1. Dock clear-wing moth *Pyropteron doryliformis* This biocontrol agent is expected to reduce the spread of docks by reducing plant vigour and reproduction. Extensive field release has resulted in widespread establishment of the dock clear-wing moth in WA, SA, Vic and NSW. Reports of establishment in Tamar Valley and Tas have been noted, but are yet to be confirmed.
