Validate model data

This dataset consists of experimental data used to validate the morphodynamic model. The data correspond to the representative test cases adopted in this study, including sediment layer evolution and two-dimensional dam-break flow in a suddenly expanding channel. They include measurements of water depth and bed elevation at different spatial locations and time instances, which are used for quantitative comparison with numerical simulation results. All data are organized in a uniform format. The units of all variables are consistent, with spatial coordinates given in meters (m) and time recorded in seconds (s) or minutes (min). In addition, the experimental data are obtained from previously published studies.
