Raoultella planticola (R.{planticola is a gram negative bacteria commomly found in water plants and soils. They are known as opportunistic pathogen that infect the unitary tract of the human body. They were initially considered part of Klebsiella genus, before being reclassified as their own genus. However it due to this closeness to Klebsiella that raoultella are considered rare uniary tract infection. Due to the little information of their mode of infection the project aim was to identify antimicrobial and virulent genotypes characteristic of the pathogen. This would be achieved through isolation and cultivating R. planticola colonies. Testing the isolates against antibiotics, Identifying and Comparing virulence gene between resistant and susceptible groups. Conducting Whole genome sequencing to identify the genetics characteristics
