Gilthead seabream Picornavirus complete genome

We reported the isolation and characterization of a putative new member of Picornaviridae family, provisionally named as GSPV for Gilthead seabream Picornavirus, from 50 days post-hatching (dpi) gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata) larvae following an atypical increase of mortality on a batch in a commercial marine hatchery The isolate was entirely sequenced using Next generating Sequencing (NGS) approach, the assembled sequence was annotated and further compared with previously described picornaviruses.
