U.S. Troop Levels in Western Europe, 1970

The subject of this study is the American troops stationed in Western Europe. The respondent is asked whether she/he knows which non-European countries have troops stationed in Western Europe; whether the number of troops that the USA has stationed in Western Europe should be increased, maintained at the present level, reduced, or removed altogether, and the reason for the answer; whether the respondent believes that the USA will in fact increase or decrease the number of these troops in 1970, and what the effects of a possible decrease in the number of those troops would be in the respondent's opinion if the troop strength of all other countries were held constant
