The purpose of this analysis was to elucidate the contribution of FGF23 to liver fibrosis. Liver fibrosis is mainly carried by hepatic stellate cells. Therefore, we treated human hepatic stellate cell line LX-2 with FGF23 and analyzed the changes in gene expression. To approximate the in vivo environment, LX-2 was seeded on Matrigel coatings. To confirm that Matrigel brought the culture environment closer to the in vivo environment, we also established a group seeded on plastic coatings. FGF23 was used at 100 ng/ml and treatment was performed for 24 hours.The groups created are as follows; 1) Plastic coating (N=2), 2) Matrigel coating (N=2), 3) Matirgel coating+FGF23 (N=3).
