Investigation of atomization and micronization of biomacromolecules for pulmonary drug delivery

In this thesis work, we systematically investigated two critical processes in the field of pulmonary drug delivery. For liquid drugs, we examined the effects of formulation and atomization, while for dry powder types, we explored the spray drying and spray freeze drying processes. The findings from these investigations are significant and are expected to greatly aid in the optimization of formulations, parameter exploration, and the design of devices for inhalable biomacromolecule pharmaceuticals.
