Genome analysis of novel plant growth-promoting species

Acidobacteria sp. TBR-22 was isolated from duckweed Lemna sp. and shown to have a growth-promoting ability to duckweed. The goal of this study is to get insights into the mechanism for growth promotion of aquatic plant by analyzing the genome of TBR-22 belonging to the phylum Acidobacteria, which is known to be abundant in natural environments such as bulk soil but rarely functionally-characterized.
