The invention relates to a device (1) for reinforcing the structure of a gliding board comprising a stack (3) of layers of plant fibers. The stack (3) comprises， alternately along the width， a layer (5) whose fibers are in the plane formed by the axes x and z and oriented at an angle of (+) 45 ° relative to the direction (x ) the length of the stack; and a layer (6) the fibers of which are in the plane formed by the axes x and z and oriented at an angle of (-) 45 ° relative to the direction (x) of the length of the stack; each layer (5; 6) having a thickness in the width of said stack along the axis (y) of between 5 mm and 25 mm， preferably between 11 mm and 19 mm. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing said device and a gliding board comprising said device.
