MrkA enhances the virulence phenotype of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae both in vitro and in vivo

In this study, we aimed to compare pathogenicity and fimbriae function between wild-type and mrkA knockout strains of CRKP to clarify the role of mrkA in the virulence of this pathogen.
