A concise Commentary (ممزوج) on the Manâr [=Nasafī's منار الأنوار في أصول الفقه], entitled دائر الوصول الی علم الاصول, being an abridged and easier version of another commentary by the author, called مدار الفحول. The latter is, according to Ḥ. Kh. vi. 125, the work of Mu’în (al-dîn) Abu ‘Abdallah MUḤAMMAD B. MUBÂRAK SHÂH Harawî. It occurs in Stewart’s Catal. 150, xlvi. Cf. Bibl. Sprenger. 600 (?).

The preface begins: الحمدلله الذی سقی لاصول المستنبطین من کوثر غرائب الفهوم ماءً. The author says subsequently:

اما بعد فان کتابی مدار الفحول فی شرح منارالاصول مع وجازة لفظه، و غموض لحظه، لمّا لم یعر عن نبذٍ من الاطناب لخصت منه هذا المختصر محتویا علی رموز نکاته الخ

Legibly written in various styles of Nasta’liḳ, without distinction of the text in the latter portion. The colophon runs as follows:

قد وقع الفراغ من تسوید نسخة الموسومة بدایر بید الضعیف الراجی الی رحمة القوی محمد رضا القنوجی النیسابوری حسب الفرمایش فضائل و کمالات دستگاه قاضی خیر الدین سلمه الله تعالی بوقت ربع من الیوم الاثنی من الشهر الجمادی الثانی السنون الف و مائة و خمس (و) ثلثون من الهجرة النبویة مطابق بسنة خمس من جلوس الخاقان ابن الخاقان صاحب الجود و الکرم رافع اللواء و العلم محمد شاه بادشاه غازی خلد الله ملکه و سلطانه و افاض علی العالمین بره و احسانه
