Rattlesnakes

The file "Rattlesnakes" is a .tps file of landmark coordinates taken from .jpg images of rattlesnake dorsal head views. In addition to geometric morphometrics software, the file can be opened as a text or excel file. The letter in the identifier (M or F) indicates that the coordinates originate from male or female snakes, respectively. The number in the identifier is arbitrary and refers to the individual snake. The images used for collecting landmark data originate from subadult and adult individuals of Mexican Lance-headed Rattlesnakes (Crotalus polystictus) from a single population near Atlacomulco, Estado de Mexico, Mexico. All photographs used in this study were collected between June-July 2006.
