Ion concentrations in glacial meltwater streams, McMurdo Dry Valleys, Antarctica (1993-2020, ongoing)

As part of the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) project in the McMurdo Dry Valleys of Antarctica, a systematic aqueous geochemical sampling program has been undertaken. A series of terrestrial water samples have been collected and analyzed for major ion chemistry by ion chromatography. The concentrations of ions cover a wide range of total dissolved solids from the stream waters. This dataset shows concentrations of lithium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, chlorine, bromine, silicon, fluorine, sulfate, and hydrogen ions found in various streams of the McMurdo Dry Valleys.作为南极洲麦克默多干谷长期生态研究（Long Term Ecological Research, LTER）项目的组成部分，本研究已实施系统性水相地球化学采样方案。研究团队采集了多组陆地水样，并通过离子色谱法对其主要离子化学组成开展分析。所测得的离子浓度覆盖了溪流水体中总溶解固体的宽值域区间。本数据集收录了麦克默多干谷多条溪流中锂、钠、钾、镁、钙、铁、氯、溴、硅、氟、硫酸盐及氢离子的浓度数据。
