Differentially expressed miRNA in recurrent implantation failure (RIF)

we utilized Exiqon miRCURY™ LNA Array (v18.0, Exiqon, Vedbaek, Denmark) to establish miRNA expression profiles in the endometrial tissues at the time of embryo implantation(day 7 after ovulation) from 8 RIF patients and 10 matched controls. A total of 157 miRNAs exhibited distinct expression patterns in RIF patients as opposed to controls (fold change >2.0 and P-value <0.05). Our study was designed to demonstrat altered miRNA profiles in the endometrial tissues from RIF patietns. Functional studies will be further confirmed. This study would provide new insights into epigenetic pathogenesis for RIF, raising the prospect that modulating disordered miRNAs might be helpful for improving implantation rates in reproductive treatment.
