Data and code for: Otolith trace element composition reveals spatial and ontogenetic structuring in the glacier lanternfish Benthosema glaciale (Reinhardt, 1837)

This record contains the cleaned otolith trace element dataset and R/Quarto analysis code used in the manuscript “Otolith trace element composition reveals spatial and ontogenetic structuring in the glacier lanternfish Benthosema glaciale (Reinhardt, 1837)”. The dataset includes age-resolved element:Ca (element = B. Ba, Mg, Mn, P, Sr) measurements from Benthosema glaciale otolith transects, associated sample metadata, and growth-increment information. The code reproduces the univariate GAMM analyses, multivariate covariance analyses, and main model outputs used in the study. Variable definitions are provided in data_dictionary.csv, and instructions for reproducing the analyses are provided in README.md.
