Barley partial albino transcriptome study

Sequencing of total mRNA from pericarp of two Hordeum vulgare near-isogenic lines was performed - Bowman line as control and line i:BwAlm that carries a mutant allele of gene Alm. i:BwAlm line is distinguished by albino lemma, pericarp and stem nodes. The study aims to identify genes responsible for this mutant phenotype formation as well as genes that change expression levels in consequence of lack of chlorophyll in certain plant organs
