In this study, we were interested in genomic investigations to explore the metabolomic capacity of Delftia lacustris DSM 21246. To do this we sequenced the genome of DSM 21246 via nanopore sequencing, this raw sequencing data was processed then assembled with Flye. After assembly this initial draft was polished with Medaka, arriving at a final polished assembly of a circular 7.0 Mb chromosome and a circular 302 kb plasmid. An assembly which we could mine for biosynthetic gene clusters.
