Supplementary dataset for Shodunke, G., Jiang, J., & Bodunde, S. S. (2025). "Influences of Layered Heterogeneity on Poroelastic Behavior of Geological Reservoirs," under review in Geophysical Journal International This archive includes: (1) Coreform Cubit journal files (.jou) used to create 3D tetrahedral meshes for our Finite Element Model (FEM) simulations, (2) Exodus II mesh files (.exo) generated from the meshing software, (3) FEM simulation input files (.inp) for individual models described in the paper, and (4) selected processing scripts to convert VTK (Visualization Toolkit) output files and visualize displacement and pressure outputs from our simulations. 1. Cubit journal (*.jou) and output Exodus II (*.exo) files: Meshes of different sizes: M1 (1x), M2 (1.5x), M3 (2x) 2. Simulation input files (*.inp): Homogeneous hydraulic structures: H1, H2, H3, H4, H5 Heterogeneous hydraulic structures: P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6 Heterogeneous mechanical structures: E1, E2, E3, E4 Homogeneous mechanical structures: Poisson's ratio: Pratio_low & Pratio_high Bulk modulus: Bulk_mod_low & Bulk_mod_high Young's modulus: Ym10, Ym30, Ym50 3. Processing scripts: extract_vtk_output.m & read_vtk_point.m - Read VTK outputs and extract pressure and displacement from simulations. make_figure3.m – Script for visualizing displacement and pressure change distributions in Figure 3.
